QUILTING

PEYOTE STITCH BEADING
Discover the creative and versatile Peyote (even count) beading stitch. The possibilities of colors and designs are endless. Create your own design or choose from four different wide cuff designs (the new trend in bracelets). This bracelet needs no clasp and works up very quickly with #8 Delica tube beads and elastic beading string. The first class will include choosing a design or learning how to do your own design, bead color choices, demonstration of peyote stitch, how to read patterns and a materials list.
Limit 12 students.

WORKING WITH YARN
Learn to knit, purl, cast on, bind off, increase, and decrease well enough to feel comfortable approaching almost any project. The class will explore the various characteristics of yarn, and why it matters which type of yarn and needles you choose for a particular project. Students will also begin to read patterns and get some ideas about designing and modifying their own patterns. Even if you’re new to knitting, you should leave class with a finished project. If you already knit or crochet and/or have a project started, come along so we can work with you on it. LIMIT: 12 students
