Do you have any school-age books in good condition that you no longer want?  Donate them to our 5th annual STA sponsored book swap.  During the week of Nov. 3 -7 bring your donated books to your classroom.  The number of books you donate will be recorded by your classroom teacher.  At the book swap you will receive tickets that correspond with the number of books you donated.   You will then use these tickets to get “new to you” books on November 12 & 13

Box Tops For Education

The Spackenkill Elementary PTA would like to remind you that the classroom that collects the most box tops will win an in-class party.

Please make sure you cut out the box tops neatly, put them in an envelope or baggie and label the bag with your name, your teacher's name and the number of box tops in each bag.
The contest ends on October 27th so let's see who can collect the most box tops for our school!

It's Apple Season

At Nassau Elementary School the first grade students in Mrs. Briody’s class had a fun-filled morning making applesauce.  Students took turns using a food mill to peel the apples.  It was a great day that turned out to be very yummy.
