TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS:
Any French student interested in traveling to France must attend an informational meeting tonight at 7:00 pm in Room 103.
Athletic participation forms must be turned in to Mrs. Dwyer by this afternoon. The last day for physicals is Wednesday. A schedule will be posted on the door of the nurse's office this afternoon and passes will be handed out Wednesday morning.
Art Club meeting today after school. All members working on the Hagan/High School art exchange MUST attend. Also we will be working on the sports mural for all other members.
CLASS NEWS:
Seniors - Jostens will be here on Thursday, March 4th during lunch periods to take orders for CAPS & GOWNS. If you have not ordered one, plan to do so on this day. See Ms. Keith or Mrs. Stong if you have any questions.
Senior tee-shirt designs are due by Wednesday, March 3rd. Submit designs to Mrs. Stong in Room 113.
Sophomore tee-shirt orders are due to Ms. Girard by 2:30 on Wednesday, March 3rd.
SPARTAN SPORTS:
All students interested in trying out for JV & Varsity Softball: There will be a mandatory meeting Wednesday, March 3rd at 2:15 in the gym.
CLUB HAPPENINGS:
Anime Club meeting Wednesday after school.
Students who were in the Pre-licensing Class on February 16th – the second half of the class will be held on Thursday, March 18th.
PRISMS Concert tickets are on sale. See any music teacher or student to get tickets. The concert is Wednesday, March 10th at 7:30 pm in the Spackenkill High School Auditorium. Come enjoy the concert!
10th & 11th grade students, who are interested in the teaching profession, please see Ms. DeFreest in the Guidance Office regarding an upcoming workshop at SUNY New Paltz.
The Columbia Science Honors Program applications are now available online. Deadline is March 3rd. This program offers enrichment courses in Science and Math on Saturday mornings. Students in grades 9 thru 11 may apply. If interested get a flyer from your Science teacher or the Guidance Office.
SGO, SADD and the Life Skills class are collecting goods though Friday, March 5th for our soldiers serving abroad. There are two large boxes in the lobby that need to be filled with items like: chap stick, hand lotions, dried fruit & nuts, snacks, DVDs & CDs, playing cards, hand held games, men’s white t-shirts & socks, batteries & books. Please consider bringing something in for our troops.
