TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: C Day
Spack Book Club meeting today at 2:05 in the library to finish discussing The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson. The next two books will also be selected. See Mrs. Sasvary if you are interested in joining.
SENIORS:
The senior class is now selling carnations. You can pre-order until Thursday, February 9th and they will be delivered on Valentine's Day.
The Spackenkill Teachers' Association awards scholarships to deserving seniors who apply. The 2012 applications are now available in the Counseling Center. The application has two parts. The first part is due on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
Seniors please bring in individual or group shot pictures. These pictures will be part of the senior slide show seen at graduation. Give to Mrs. Girard, place in her mailbox, or email to karen.kardas@spackenkillschools.org by March 30th.
The senior class is auctioning off a beautiful Valentine's Day necklace worth $120. See any officer, Ms. Girard or Ms. Fahy to buy a raffle ticket.
SPARTAN SPORTS:
Spring sports signups will take place on Monday, February 13th during all lunch periods. After the 13th you may sign up in the Athletic Office.
Football players - open gym workouts begin Sunday, February 12th at 5 pm in the High School gym.
CLUB HAPPENINGS:
Special Bias Seminar led by Mr. DeSouza's sister Amy will be held Wednesday, February 15th after school in the Black Box. All are welcome to attend, refreshments will be served.
5 Hour Pre-licensing Course Thursday, February 9th from 3 - 5:30 pm in Room 4 at SHS. Registration forms are in the Main Office.
Spack Onstage presents a Valentine's Day treat - "Love Letters" on Friday, February 10th at 8 pm. Admission is $8 and all proceeds go to putting on the spring musical. Please come see Mr. DeSouza make his stage debut. See Ms. Scarrone for details.
Driver's Education applications are available in the Main Office. Orientation will be Thursday, February 9th at 7 pm. Classes begin February 13th. Any questions, please see Mrs. Vasely.
Please bring in your gently used jeans and put them in the collection bin under the front lobby stairs by February 11th. The school who donates the most jeans gets $5,000 & every student gets a pair of jeans. Bring in a pair by February 10th and get a coupon for 25% off a pair at Aeropostale.
Practice SAT Test Saturday, February 11th, 9 am - 1 pm. Score Interpretation Session is Wednesday, February 22nd , 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Tests are held at SHS sponsored by the Leo Club. Participation fee is $7. Call 1-800-2Review to register.
