HS Science Olympiad "Best Small School"

                                                                                                     Science Olympiad at States earned best small school and 5th overall      

The Spackenkill Science Olympiad Team earned "Best Small School" and Fifth Place overall at the State competition March 10-11 at LeMoyne College in Syracuse.  There were 55 of the states top teams competing and over 400 teams in New York State.

Spack Students Visit NYC United Nations

                                                                    Students visit NYC United Nations Building

Students from Spackenkill High School, along with Mr. Boenig and Mr. DeSouza, visited the United Nations building in New York City on March 23rd. Students had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the facility and participate in a Q & A session with UN representative, Hector Calderon, of the Peacekeeping division. 

Teen Driving Program

                                                                                

On the evening of Tuesday, March 28, 2017, Spackenkill High School and The Council of Addiction Prevention and Education (CAPE) of Dutchess County will host a special program for students and their families at Spackenkill High School. The program, “Teen Driving – a Family Affair,” mandatory for parents and students who are applying for School Parking Permits. Please plan to arrive by 6:30 pm for Registration. The program will begin promptly at 7:00 pm.

SGO attends Leadership and Student Activities State Conference

On Monday, November 21, 2016, SGO co-adviser Ms. Klein and five of the SHS Student Government members participated in the NYS Counsel on Leadership and Student Activities State conference held at the Honors Haven Resort in Ellenville, NY. There they joined over 500 student leaders from around the state participating in leadership workshops and heard motivational speakers. As part of group community service project, the students made a fleece blanket for the Blythedale Children's Hospital. The students learned some excellent fundraising, school spirit and community service ideas to share with the Student Government.

Basketball Midnight Madness

The Spackenkill Basketball Club is holding a Basketball Midnight Madness event at the High School on Thursday, December 1 from 7:30  - 9:30 pm. Come out for a fun-filled night to kick off and support our Boys and Girls Basketball Programs. meet the teams, participate in contests, and win prizes!  There will be a DJ and concessions.  Bring your friends, neighbors, and family!
