Please join us at Spackenkill High School on Thursday, November 29th at 7:00 P.M. for an important presentation by international public speaker, educator and author Scott Fried. There will also be a discussion of the new anti-bullying and harassment legislation, The Dignity for All Students Act. Rescheduled from 11/1/12.

Annual Orchestra Halloween Concert

The orchestra musicians of Spackenkill High School performed their annual Halloween concert as part of their Hallway Subscription Series. Music ranging from Camille Saint-Saens to Michael Jackson brought the spooky sounds of the season to the audience.

The Potato Heads Visit Spackenkill HS

Mr. and Mrs. Potato Heads popped into the Main Office on Halloween to check on the status of their Tater Tots.

Due to the hurricane, Scott Fried (who lives in Manhattan), will be unable to speak tomorrow evening.  His presentation will be rescheduled for a later date.

National Merit Scholarship Commended Students

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced the names of about 34,00 Commended Students in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program. We are proud to announce that Martha Engle, Shawn Kollesar, Frank Lin, Andrew Liu, Thomas Vaeth, Caiden Williams, and Candy Xiao are being recognized for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance. Commended Students place among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2013 competition by taking the 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Congratulations to all of you on this significant achievement.
