Candidates eligible for election must be members of the eighth grade class. Membership in the National Junior Honor Society is an honor earned by a student for outstanding scholarship, leadership, service, character and citizenship. To be eligible for election to the chapter, candidates shall have a minimum sixth, seventh, and first quarter of eighth grade cumulative average of 93.0.
