Breaking the Cycle of Violence

On Friday, March 13th, Todd Middle School was thrilled to have a school assembly
called Breaking the Cycle of Violence. There were three speakers that shared their stories.
They had all dealt with a tragedy in their lives and discussed with the students and faculty
how they moved past their own losses and were able to move forward through forgiveness.
They discussed and encouraged Nonviolent Conflict Resolution through Forgiveness.
Each child was also given a copy of their original book which was a best seller.

Come celebrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics at the first-ever Spackenkill STEM Family Event. Scheduled for Saturday, February 21 from 10 am – 1 pm at Todd Middle School (snow day May 9), this fun and educational gathering is geared to students in grades 5-8. It is completely free of charge, open to students in all districts, and doesn't require signups. Stay for the entire event or just for an hour.

Expect hands-on activity stations and demos covering a fascinating range of topics, such as building a roller coaster, creating an egg drop device, and designing for a 3D printer. Other science challenges include experiments with dry ice and electricity. Students from Drama Club, Science Olympiad, and Odyssey of the Mind will also put on performances and presentations. It’s going to be a great day!
