Todd had not met the expected target required for progress of classified students taking the NYS Exam in ELA. As a result, they:
a. conducted a rigorous self assessment,
b. were observed by trained professionals who gave feedback and suggestions, and
c. made changes where possible, to close the gap in performance.
On January 19, 2012, Orville A. Todd Middle School received a letter from the County Superintendent that they had met all requirements in the process and were approved to implement the changes indicated in their report. They were commended on their thoroughness and thoughtfulness. The report is being forwarded to NYS Education Department and next steps are in the works.
