Transportation is provided to students who reside:
0.50 mile or more from the elementary school
0.75 mile or more from the middle school
1.00 mile or more from the high school

Parents and guardians must have requests for private providers for the 2013-14 school year to the Spackenkill USFD Trasnportation Department by April 1, 2013. For more information, please call Doreen Wright, Director of Transportation: 463-7800.

If there is a potential safety issue with a bus stop, please print out this form. Complete the appropriate information and return to the District Office by mail or in person:

Poughkeepsie, NY 12603Primary Grades K-2 School Procedure for a Child Who Misses Getting Off the Bus at an Assigned Stop
If a student fails to get off the bus at his or her assigned stop or if a parent or guardian who is usually at the stop is not there, the bus driver will keep the student on the bus for the remainder of the bus run. Upon completion of the bus run, the driver will attempt to bring the child back to the bus stop. If the parent or guardian is still not available to receive the child, the driver will bring the student back to the school. The school will keep the student until the parent or guardian can be contacted.
