Cross-country team volunteers to clean our campus

September 29, 2023

Dear Spackenkill Community,

At our Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, we celebrated the appointment to tenure of Alycia Lombardi in the Elementary tenure area. I read some notes from Nassau Principal Erik Lynch, who cited Mrs. Lombardi’s “passion to reach all learners regardless of their age or needs. She knows she can make a difference, and she does make a difference.” Mrs. Lombardi has been acting as our grade-level chair. It’s a testament to her leadership. Congratulations to Mrs. Lombardi!

We also presented our district goals. This year, they can be summed up in two categories. The first is Planning Our Future, which involves updating our financial plan, strategic plan, and five-year facilities plan. The other bucket is Meeting Students Where They Are, including continuing such programs as AVID, P2, Universal Pre-K, and our student mentor program.
