The Mission of the School Food Service Department is to provide students with a variety of appealing and nutritious meals in a respectful environment.
Universal K-12 Free School Meals
The Governor's budget has authorized New York State Universal K-12 Free School Meals. For the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, all K-12 students enrolled in the Spackenkill Union Free School District will receive a healthy breakfast and lunch each school day at no charge. This program applies to every student, regardless of income or school building, and you won't need to take any action or submit an application for your child to participate. While complete meals are covered, please note that snacks, second meals, and additional beverages will still be available for purchase.
A complete meal, as offered on the weekly menu, includes servings of protein, bread, a vegetable, fruit, and milk. Students can choose from several entrée options daily, along with their choice of fruit, vegetable, and milk. We encourage your child(ren) to take advantage of our breakfast program, which can be enjoyed upon arrival at school. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact Food and Nutrition Services @ 845-463-7836 or email [email protected]
Nutrikids
Spackenkill School District's Food Service Department is excited to provide parents with NutriKids, a convenient, easy, and secure online prepayment service to deposit money into your child's school meal account at any time. This service also provides parents with the ability to view each child's account balance through a website called MySchoolBucks. By having money in each child's account prior to entering the cafeteria, we find the lunch lines move along much faster so your child has more time to eat and be with friends.
Also, parents will have the ability to print out a copy of each child's eating history report. This history report will show you all dates and times that your child has purchased a breakfast and/or lunch within the past 30 days.
To access these services:
Go to www.myschoolbucks.com. From this site you will create your account and add money to your child's school meal account. All you need is your child's name, student ID number, school and ZIP code.
A La Carte Meal Prices
Student Breakfast $2.00
Student Lunch $3.00
Student Milk $0.55
Things to know:
- If you have more than one child in the District you can handle all online prepayments from the same online account.
- Spackenkill School District does not receive the fee and does not profit from the use of this site.
- The MySchoolBucks program fee will increase to $3.50 for all cafeteria credit/debit card payments beginning on August 1st, 2025. The program fee for cafeteria electronic check payments will remain the same. Additionally, the maximum meal payment limit will increase to $150 per transaction. Please note that parents set up with automatic meal payments will also be notified of this change via email. If you have any questions, please contact our MySchoolBucks Customer Support team at 855.832.5226
