English Teacher - Anticipated, Middle School level, starting September 2025, full-time, 10 months, benefit package. Must hold NYS teacher certification in ELA 7-12, 6-8 extension additionally preferred. High School Assistant Principal - 12 month probationary, starting July 1, 2025, benefit package.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid New York State SBL or SAS Certification
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience, including at least five years in a secondary school setting
• Demonstrated leadership and the ability to earn the respect of teachers, students, and parents
• Preferred: Experience with master scheduling, knowledge of eSchooldata, ParentSquare and AVID programs
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the high school principal in implementing administrative practices that maintain an orderly educational environment
• Ensure effective communication with parents regarding school procedures and student progress
• Provide assistance to teachers regarding student behavior and classroom activities
• Interpret and communicate school rules and regulations to students
• Collaborate with faculty advisors to organize and supervise student activities
• Assist in the development and implementation of building maintenance programs
• Participate in the evaluation of teacher performance by observing instruction in assigned departments
• Serve as the Summer School Principal
• Perform other duties as assigned by the HS Principal

School Social Worker (anticipated) - elementary building, tenure track position, grades 3-5, starting September 2025. Must hold NYS certification as a School Social Worker. Responsibilities included but not limited to: provide all required student counseling mandates as indicated on each child's IEP, provide counseling either on an individual or a group basis as prescribed on each student's IEP, maintain all necessary related service counseling attendance cards and log notes as required to meet Medicaid reporting mandates, co-facilities and is a Leader within the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) meetings, maintain contact with out-of-school service providers and link follow-up and advocacy services as deemed appropriate and necessary, provide instructional staff with ongoing consultation around relevant group and individual classroom management needs, medication, relevant personal, psychological, and family data that affects school functioning, provide administrative staff with consultation around relevant system-wide issues in the school and community/family milieu of the students and other duties assigned by administration. Current Vacancies:   

Head Maintenance Mechanic - Starting immediately, full-time, 12 months, starting immediately.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EITHER:
A. Four years of work experience as a journeyman in a skilled trade, such as plumbing, steam-fitting, electrical or carpentry;
B. Six years of work experience in either general building construction or in building maintenance work;
C. An equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to indicate ability to perform the duties of the position.
And a valid driver’s license.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Leads and participates in the performance of appropriate operating, adjustment, repair, maintenance and safety practices and procedures for mechanical and electrical equipment and systems;
2. Plans details of work assignments and projects for a small group;
3. May lead and participate in the repair and maintenance of plumbing and heating facilities including washrooms and related piping, traps, storm drains, gas lines, steam piping, boilers, return vacuum pumps, and various types of control apparatus;
4. May lead and participate in the repair and maintenance of exterior of buildings, including glazing, sheet metal work, slate, tar and gravel roofs;
5. Leads and participates in preventative and corrective maintenance operations;
6. Schedules preventative maintenance operations including lubrication, and parts replacement;
7. Keeps maintenance records for equipment;
8. Keeps inventory records and reorders necessary parts;
9. May figure and submit maintenance budget requests;
10. Instructs a small group in the installation and repair of equipment;
11. Leads and participates in a variety of other building maintenance activities;
12. May be required to participate in snow and ice control activities;
13. May be required to operate a motor vehicle in connection with assignments;
14. Does related work as required.

Substitute Bus Drivers:

The district continually recruits for qualified substitute school bus drivers. Qualifications must include CDL w/BPS endorsement and 30 hour basic course certificate. Previous school bus driving experience preferred. Responsible for driving children to and from schools, on an as needed basis.
